About the Role
Are you a hands-on professional with a passion for automotive customization? Our thriving Ford & Isuzu UTE Dealership in Emerald is seeking a skilled Full-Time Pre-Delivery Accessory Fitter to join our workshop team.
In this role, you will be responsible for transforming standard stock vehicles into the custom dreams our customers order. From heavy-duty 4x4 upgrades on Isuzu D-MAXs to sleek additions on Ford Rangers, you will ensure every vehicle is fitted out to perfection and completely road-ready before handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Accessory Fitting: Professionally fit a wide range of genuine and aftermarket accessories to new vehicles (including bull bars, tow bars, snorkels, canopy systems, driving lights, dual battery setups, and tray bodies).
- Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI): Complete comprehensive mechanical and safety checks on new vehicles arriving from the factory to ensure they meet strict dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Quality Assurance: Test all fitted accessories and electronics to guarantee flawless operation.
- Efficiency & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized bay and adhere to strict workplace health and safety (WHS) guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in automotive accessory fitting, mechanical assembly, or a similar role is highly preferred.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with basic 12V vehicle electrical systems.
- Attention to Detail: A commitment to high-quality workmanship—treating every vehicle as if it were your own.
- Driver's Licence: A valid Australian Driver’s Licence is essential.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.
